FLORIDA - Luis Ramirez can hit'em
a long way, and Los Angeles pitchers couldn't smile
about that today. Florida's first baseman unloaded
three bombs, adding to his reputation of being one
of the best power hitters in the game. A 415 foot drive
to left-center marked his 1st bomb, a solo homerun
off Samuel Menchaca in the 3rd
inning. His 2nd shot, a three-run homerun off Jack
Arguelles in the 4th inning, cleared the fence
in left field. His 3rd blast, a three-run homerun off
Mike Rameriz in the 5th inning,
landed an estimated 395 feet from home plate. Luis
finished 3 for 4, with FOUR runs scored and driving
in 7 runs. His homerun total this year is 8, along
with 20 RBI. Florida improved its record to 8-6, scoring
